In the words of my map app, “Arrived”! Good to be staying put for awhile just outside Harpers Ferry, a National Historic Park (think Civil War) that is gloriously situated at the confluence of the Potomac and Shenandoah Rivers. It’s like living in a museum around here! Today I had lunch in Charles Town, named for George Washington’s brother. Because he founded it. And we attended a game night hosted by a couple whose relatives served under Stonewall Jackson. Imagine! This is where we hung out – the table is actually a mill wheel from four generations back, and the paintings are all Civil War scenes.
