Freedom at last! We are all delighted to be bringing Julie home for recovery after three long days in the hospital. I spent last night napping in a very utilitarian recliner in her hospital room. Not an ideal way to sleep, but way better than the bottomed-out cot that was my other option! (The sleeping arrangements didn’t matter much anyway, what with the nurses checking in every four hours and the 5:30 a.m. doctors’ rounds.)

  1. You are in my old territory as back in the day my family had camp on Tuftonboro Neck on Winter Harbor – just north of Wolfboro, NH. That means I’ve been to all the places you are visiting and a treat to hear your thoughts. FYI George Tuthill lives in Alexandria, NH and you seem to be in the neighborhood. My best friend lived in Norwich, VT across the river from Hanover and we stayed with her mother for many ski adventures. Hope sister has good recovery.
